Auditions:

The orchestra is comprised of volunteer musicians from the community, with additional players from the surrounding communities who are engaged to supplement sections when needed.

Auditions for placement within each section will be held the first rehearsal of each semester. New members will play a short audition for an independent panel of judges which may include the section principal. Audition excerpts, scales, solo/etude, possibly sight reading (usually 7-10 minutes total).

Rehearsals:

Regular rehearsals are held every Monday evening from 6:30-9:00 p.m. in Strahan Hall at Muscatine Community College.
Additional rehearsals are scheduled before each concert.
